ABOUT
HEY, WHAT’S UP, WE’RE
Based out of Nashville, TN. Hollow Wake is a Rock/Post-Hardcore band that was born in early 2022 with the idea that mental health was the focus. With roots stemming from rock, hardcore, emo, and punk; they use their knowledge of not only different genres but also their understanding of dynamic instrumentation and interpersonal lyricism to connect with people.
Quickly acquiring radio attention, they found themselves being interviewed by Samantha Knight for Z97.5 and being featured on multiple radio stations across Tennessee for 40 consecutive weeks leading to a rise in streaming amassing the band over 145,000 streams on Spotify alone in their first year as a band.
These factors quickly gained them the attention of national touring bands, and they were asked time and again to support them. Acts such as: CKY, Secrets, Archetypes Collide, Action/Adventure, Dragged Under, Dead American, The Seafloor Cinema, Rivals, and many more.
They have proven that they aren’t afraid to explore every emotion, no matter how difficult it is to face.
“An aggressive-yet-uplifting alternative band that combines the best elements of emo, pop-punk, metal, and post-hardcore.” - Musicfarmer5
Name Meaning:

BOBBY SPENCER
LEAD SINGER
Bobby started Hollow Wake with the intention of spreading a message of positive aggression and writing heartfelt and truthful lyrics to use them as a catharsis and to possibly connect and help others in their own darkness.
"I am passionate about mental health, branding, and cooking. I'm a very laid back guy off-stage, so it's always surprising to people when they hear that I sing and scream in a band. I love seeing their reactions.
Outside of Hollow Wake, you'll find me with my beautiful wife, and our two crazy cats, or rewatching all The Lord of the Rings movies for like the 100th time. I'm just a big nerd who loves creating art. in some way, shape, or form."

JOSH OVERTON
GUITAR
Josh finds his passions to be in songwriting, mixing, and collaboration.
He's easy about life, but passionate when it comes to playing and writing music and the ones he cares about.
"You’ll find me spending time with my wife and my pets, at an event around town, or always learning how to do something I love better. I’m basically a big perfectionist, but never afraid to take a leap into something I don’t know even if it means I’m doomed to fail. I’m always up for a challenge.”

JAKE E. HENDERSON
BASS
Jake is a punk rocker at heart. When he joined Hollow Wake he brought bass lines unheard of anywhere else that shake the ground he stands on. You'll find Jake in the middle of the pit when the heavy songs hit.
"Playing bass has always been my main outlet for my emotions. Whether I'm happy, angry, sad, indifferent, or whatever; my style has always been driven by them. I love to show people what I bring to the table when I play my instrument. Even with my influences, I still consider my style as me and not by a genre.
When I'm not playing music, I'm either at a show or watching horror movies. (Hence the Jason Voorhees tattoo on my arm.)"

GABE ROMAN
DRUMS
Gabe joined Hollow Wake shortly after moving to Nashville. In pursuit of making a career out of music, he is deeply invested in all aspects of drumming on and off the kit.
“I’m usually thinking about drumming in some regard. I have combined type ADHD, which I believe affects my musicianship quite a bit. I constantly have an idea or pattern floating around in my head, but it’s like a radio I can’t turn off. It really drove me to make a serious decision to try out for Hollow Wake or not. It was a new challenge for me but I’m excited with the growth we’re experiencing as a band and I’m extremely grateful to have these guys to throw down with. Outside of drumming you can find Gabe eating good food, drinking beer, hiking, playing sports, or being a straight up couch potato.”
